the window doesn't appear to have any locking mechanism attached to it, but you decide to follow through with your idea anyway. Throwing the key at the window, it breaks it and rains glass down on the ground below. The key is also gone forever, snatched away by gravity and your poor decision making skills, and you are now trapped in the tower forever.\n\nThe End
Behold! You stand in an unfamiliar room, unsure of where you are. what shall you do, mighty adventurer?\n\n*[[Look Around]]\n*[[Inventory]]\n
...Really?\n\nFor whatever reason, the mirror has angered you. Punching it, it shatters into thousands of pieces that scatter all over the floor. \n\n*[[Contemplate life decisions|thinking]]\n*[[Look around the room again|room2]]
You have nothing in your posession. You weep manly tears at this revelation\n\n<<back>>
Forsooth, due to photons reflecting off of the silvered glass and entering your eye, you can now percieve an image of yourself in the mirror! What sorcery! Looking at this, you see that you look just as manly as ever.\n\n*[[Break mirror]]\n*[[go back to looking around|Look Around]]
Deciding to open the window, you unhook the latch and swing it outwards into the open air. As a cool breeze blows in, so does a spider that was resting just outside on the window frame. Landing on your face, you scream like a girl and start to flail about in an attempt to rid yourself of it. While doing this, you stumble backwards and tumble out the open window and fall with an acceleration of 9.8 meters/second/second, stopping a short time later.\n\nYou are dead. The spider survived the fall though, so it's not all doom and gloom.\n\nRestart?
Finely crafted as the chest is, it cannot hold up againds the might of an adventurer such as yourself. Lifting your mighty foot, you stomp down on it with a great force and shatter the wooden box in seconds. Amongst the rubble, you see a faint glimmer, and on closer inspection it reveals itself to be a key! Picking it up, you decide to test it to see what it fits.\n\n*[[Try the key on the door|open door]]\n*[[Try the key on the window|open window]]\n*[[try the key on oneself|open your heart!]]
As you think about how you justified breaking the mirror (currently going with the reason that it totally came at you), you become lost in thought and begin to pace. As a direct result of this, you trip over your own feet, falling to the floor and taking a glass shard to the face.\n\nYou are dead, and the mirror has gotten its revengance.\n\nRestart?
You charge the door again, sure that it will buckle under your strength this time. As you hit the door for a second time, the walls and ceiling shake even more so than before, loosening some of the stones above. Incidentally, a loose flagstone falls from the ceiling and hits you on the head, effectively ending your adventure\n\nYou are dead.\n\nRestart?
The chest is very large, and is finely crafted if you do say so yourself. You seem drawn to it, and you wonder what wonders lie within its wooden shell. Maybe some loot, perchance? You'll never know if you just look at it\n\n*[[Open the chest|open chest]]\n*[[Ignore its allure and go back to looking around|Look Around]]
Ha, this door is no match for a fine adventurer as yourself! walking to the other side of the room, you get a runup to the door and charge into it at full speed. The walls shake, and dust falls from the ceiling, but the door holds fast. You contemplate how to continue.\n\n*[[Try to break the door down again|charge2]]\n*[[Look around the room some more|Look Around]]\n\n
Looking out the window, you can see that you are quite high up. The room seems to be located up the top of a tower, and has quite the view of the surrounding forest. You also notice that it is night.\n\n*[[Open window|open]]\n*[[look at the forest|Forest]]\n*[[go back to inspecting the room|Look Around]]
Unfortunatly, you discover that the chest is locked. \n\n*[[Pick the lock|pick lock]]\n*[[Break the chest|break chest]]\n*[[go back to looking around|Look Around]]
Adventure Hooo!
The room is indeed unfamiliar! like most rooms, it consists of 4 walls, a floor and a ceiling and contains various items\n*[[Look at Door|door]]\n*[[Look at Window|window]]\n*[[Look in Mirror|mirror]]\n*[[Look at Large Chest|chest]]\n*[[Inventory]]
A large oaken door stands before thou, large and impressive to the eye. Under the brass handle is a keyhole that looks like it hasn't been used in a while, which is unfortunate as it is the only way out of the room.\n\n*[[try to break through|charge]]\n*[[continue looking around|Look Around]]
Alas, you took no levels in lockpicking so do not possess the skill nor the tools required to undertake such a task. You are an adventurer after all, not a thief.\n\n*[[Break the chest open|break chest]]\n*[[explore the room some more|Look Around]]
Verily, it is defeated\n\n*[[Continue looking at the room|room2]]
The room remains the same as it was last you looked, but there are now broken mirror parts laying on the floor.\n\n*[[Look at Door|door]]\n*[[Look at Window|window]]\n*[[Look in Mirror|mirror2]]\n*[[Look at mirror shards|shards]]\n*[[look at chest|chest]]\n*[[Inventory]]
you walk confidentaly over to the oaken door, and slide the brass key into the lock. It fits perfectly, and as you turn it it makes a small clicking noise and unlocks. swinging the great door on its hinges, you step out into the cold corridor, your adventure just beginning\n\nThe End
Indeed, they are sharp!\n\n*[[Look at the room some more|room2]]
You come to the realisation that this whole room is a test, and that even opening the door will not lead to freedom. Holding the key reverently, you utter the words "I know what I must do", before plunging the key into your heart.\nA great light engulfs the room, as you transcend your mortal form and your conciousness is written into the very lattices of light that make up the universe itself. You can now move freely through time and space, going on adventures that mortals cannot even fathom.\n\n\nThe End
Shepherd
From what you can see in the dim light of the moon, there are quite a few trees. You stare at it wistfully, thinking of all the adventuring you could be doing out there if only you could escape this room\n\n*[[Go back to examining the room|Look Around]]
